Together we will focus on carefully navigating your path to college. Regardless of where you are in the high school process, Advanced Admissions will ensure that you stay on track – making strategic decisions while boosting your college options.

9th and 10th Grade

Set goals for your next 4 years

Dream big and take advantage of the enormous amount of resources and opportunities available to you throughout your time in high school.

Focus on your studies

Entrench yourself in academics and devote yourself to establishing a strong high school résumé.

Begin thinking about and, if possible, enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Take the PSAT

Practice makes perfect! Gain exposure to the SAT with this practice assessment test. Learn what aspects of the test you can continue improving upon.

Get Involved

Pursue your passions and expand your interests by trying a new extracurricular activity, joining a club and/or focusing on an existing meaningful activity.

11th Grade

Make coursework a priority

If AP coursework is appropriate for you, by all means take on the challenge. This will elevate your chances and showcase your fearlessness.

Take the PSAT/NMSQT

Hone in on where your areas of improvement are within the PSAT. Take the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test.

Prepare for and take the SAT/ACT

Develop an action plan for how you can personally best prepare for the SAT and ACT so you can walk into both tests putting your best foot forward.

Research colleges

Begin to think about your interests, passions and what you are looking for in a collegiate experience. Research and begin visiting colleges and universities of interest.

Create your college list

Develop a list of schools that you are interested in learning more about and potentially applying to.

Write college essays

Think thoroughly about how you will showcase yourself through your writing. Develop college essay submissions that unveil your strengths and accomplishments.

Research scholarships

Get ahead by beginning to research scholarships that you are interested in applying to.

The financial aid process can be incredibly rigorous. Begin educating yourself on the intricate process and ensure to note important deadlines over the next year.
